It’s my last Spring Break and I’m really excited to use it as an opportunity to really catch up on my work in the studio. In answering a very important question for myself as seen in my last post, I ended up putting a wrench in my studio process. Granted, many BFA candidates know that jam pretty well; with the input of many voices, sometimes the central one becomes lost. But I think that the shake-up was for my own good; maybe these in progress photographs will prove me right!
Anyway, back to the Spring Break thing: I’m hoping for a glut of in progress and finished posts by the end of this week — by the end of this, you’ll be sick of seeing all these updates! It’s a good carrot for me, though, and a great opportunity for me to get used to holding a balanced studio practice that includes blogging as well as making. There are a few other things that I’m hoping to tell you guys about in a few weeks, but let’s not count the chickens before they hatch! Instead: paintings, please.
